La Mesa, meaning “the plateau” in reference to the location’s geography, is a very down to Earth sort of city. In contrast to the “Walk of Fame” in Hollywood, La Mesa is home to the “Walkway of the Stars”. The walk is a place to honor volunteers that have dedicated at least 10,000 hours to the city. The city even has an official flower; the tongue twister flower named Bougainvillea. Right beside La Mesa and sharing the Casa de Oro neighborhood is the not quite city, Spring Valley. It is not officially considered a city but rather a census-designated place. Despite this, it is home to a considerable number of professional athletes, including football players Reggie Bush, Khalif Carnes, Michael Wiley and Doug Wilkerson. Populated by fewer celebrities but equally interesting are the nearby cities of El Cajon and Santee. Both are incredibly rich in historical and cultural diversity. Santee was the original home of the Kumeyaay Indians. The village they had built on the banks of the San Diego River was the basis for the city of Santee. Call us for help at (619) 821-2103
Even professional sports’ stars encounter common problems like broken appliances. In the case of the common civilian, business owner or famous athlete alike a broken appliance is a huge nuisance. No one wants to deal with it for longer than absolutely necessary. We offer repair of most household and commercial appliances including but not limited to refrigerators, microwaves, ovens, vent/range hoods, freezers, ice makers, washers, dryers, dishwashers, ovens, stoves and cooktops.
In a climate as hot as San Diego County’s, a fridge with an ice maker is a staple of almost every home. If the ice maker isn’t working, it can be incredibly frustrating. Luckily there are many simple issues that could cause this. One of the most common is a water filter in need of a change. The water filter removes any contaminants that may have been neglected by your local water treatment. Over time the filter becomes blocked and restricts the flow of water for the ice maker. The solution is to just replace the filter. This is usually very easy to do and your fridge will probably come with instructions on how to do it. More complex problems that require the attention of a professional repairman include blocked water fill tubes and malfunctioning water inlet valves. Since these parts are harder to access and not exactly straightforward in terms of replacement it is suggested that you refrain from attempting to do it yourself.
